Cruz & Scott Agenda: Gut Social Security & Medicare, Raise Taxes and Pass a National Abortion Ban

As Cruz & Scott attend events in San Antonio & Houston, Texas Democrats highlight their toxic agenda  

AUSTIN, Texas – Today Ted Cruz and Rick Scott, who Cruz supported for Senate GOP leader, are attending two events in Texas. The Cruz-Scott agenda would be a disaster for Texans.

Cruz and Scott would lead the charge to:

• Put “an end to Social Security [and] Medicare.”

• “Repeal the Affordable Care Act” – spiking health care costs and jeopardizing protections for pre-existing conditions.

• “Raise taxes on as much as half of the country”

• And pass a national abortion ban.

“If Cruz and Scott get their way in November, they’ll gut Social Security and Medicare, jeopardize protections for people with pre-existing conditions, raise taxes, and pass a national abortion ban. Texans know the Cruz-Scott agenda would be a disaster for seniors, working people, and women across the state,” said Texas Democratic Party spokesperson Ryan Radulovacki.
